MOD FATS 4 Applications

Applications for consideration within the MOD’s Framework Agreement for Technical Support 4 (FATS 4) are being sought. To that end, we are considering inviting as many ‘close and trusted’ associates and SMEs to come under the SVGC umbrella and help to expand our footprint within FATS 4. Of course, this will not prevent individuals from joining FATS 4 under their own banner. However, a wider footprint does mean that our combined chances of selection should be improved. Of further note, Other Government Departments will also be joining FATS 4 which has the advantage of not only potentially gaining work outside the MOD but an increase in the number of contracts available. On the negative side the current industry membership total within FATS 3 will increase (possibly considerably) within FATS 4 and thereby raise the competitive bar. With this in mind and cognisant of the continued economic downturn it makes sound business sense for smaller businesses to support each other under this proposed loose federation.
